How we discovered that the ocean’s surface absorbs much more CO₂ than previously thought

Members of the team have been involved in an interesting study that found the ‘ocean skin’ – a sliver less than 2mm deep at the ocean surface, is fractionally cooler that the rest and absorbs about 7% more CO2 each year than previously thought.
